Work

Kanban

A short explanation of Kanban in our glossary

The Kanban method, which is particularly well suited to routine work, uses a so-called Kanban board to visualise the workflow. This board is divided into three basic sections titled Requested, In progress and Done. The number of subdivisions can be adjusted as needed, so the work process can be represented in even greater detail.

The second focus of the Kanban method is limiting work in progress. This reduces the number of tasks running in parallel. Establishing a smooth flow of work is the core idea behind introducing a Kanban system.
