twigbit builds, integrates and maintains AI agents for companies across the German-speaking region. We work from one office, in Berlin, remotely and with on-site sessions as needed. For Austria the GDPR applies exactly as it does in Germany; for Switzerland we settle the hosting region and the requirements of the revised Federal Act on Data Protection during the sprint. We invoice in euros, under German law.
What is the same across the region
The process is the same as for clients in Germany: a free first call, a discovery sprint at a fixed €2,900, a deployment from €7,900 and a maintenance contract from €2,400 a month. The sprint runs in a week with three fixed sessions and a shared channel; build and operation run on one weekly session. Code, prompts, evals and documentation live in your repository. The contract is signed under German law with twigbit technologies GmbH, and the invoice comes in euros.
The roles are the same too. You are the deployer under the EU AI Act: identity, permissions, data and approvals stay with you. We answer for code, evals, model migrations and regressions. For companies in Switzerland the AI Act does not apply directly, but the same split is the one a procurement team and a data protection lead there will recognise.
What is different in Austria
Little. The GDPR applies there as it does here, the processing agreement and the impact assessment look the same, and hosting in an EU region is available for both the application and the models without detours. What changes is the travel. For the sprint kickoff and the rollout to the team we come to Vienna, Linz or Graz; the rest is work on code and runs remotely. Travel costs are in the proposal.
What is different in Switzerland
Swiss companies fall under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since September 2023, and many additionally under the GDPR as soon as they process data about people in the EU. The questions that follow we settle during the sprint with your data protection lead: which hosting region is available for the application, which model providers offer a region and a contract that match your requirements, what the logging looks like, and where models on your own infrastructure would be the better route. We give no blanket assurance in advance. The assessment is part of the sprint, and you get the result in writing.
